imbecility: incapability, feebleness, stupidity

stenographer: a person who takes dictation in shorthand

missive: important letter, especially a long and official one

arete: 1. excellence of any kind
          2. moral virtue
          3. fulfillment of purpose
          4. the act of living up to ones full potential

the highest human potential is knowledge. all other human abilities are derived from this. if arete is knowledge and study, than the highest human potential knowledge is knowledge about knowledge.

1. agora- place in Greece where they had meetings about important stuff
2. polis- political entities ruled by their bodies of citizens (politics, polls)
3. 508 BCE- the first time in recorded history that the people revolted the rulers
4. socrates- 3 major philosophers, he fought heroically, wrestler
